About

Jacqueline Duffield is the owner of The Bespoke Home and makes beautiful pieces of furniture from her workshop in Penrith, Cumbria.

Her passion for furniture, unique design and attention to detail shines through in her work and has established her as one of the area's finest cabinet makers.

Jacqueline was born in Surrey but also lived in the New Forest in Hampshire and Newcastle upon Tyne before finally settling in the Lake District after it captured her heart.

Jacqueline has always had an appreciation for wood, and marvels at it's natural beauty. She completed a Cabinet Making course at The Wood Workshop in Penrith where Richard and Mark taught her everything she knows.

In recent years Jacqueline has turned her had to converting bespoke campervans. She has built three of her own and also works with Matt Carter at Lake District Camper Van Conversions.

Jacqueline takes on commissions custom made to your requirements. She also has a range of furniture at the Old Courthouse Gallery in Ambleside

As much as possible she uses sustainable local Cumbrian hard woods but also enjoys the uniqueness of exotics. The variety of natural colours and grains available in wood is staggering and something Jacqueline loves to showcase in her work.
